Une histoire de la viande en xikùeh, langue rhùnienne. Mais le mot barbaque étant universel, nul besoin d'entrer dans les détails. Il s'agit, d'appétit, de religion et de sexe. Carnivore omnium disciplinarum.
Cette histoire se passe en grande partie dans les Everglades...

A history of meat in xikùeh, the Rhùnian language. But the word barbaque being universal (isn't it? otherwise send us a letter), there is no need to go into details. It's about appetite, religion and sex. Carnivore omnium disciplinarum.
Much of this story takes place in the Everglades...

Interprétation parallèle.

Composition à tiroirs où les couleurs et styles parfois contraires s'entrechoquent. Rhùn passe ici tout à tour par un petit air des Carpates psyché, l'improvisation, suggère le krautrock, joue un rock primaire des plus noir nous menant vers une messe noire, pour enfin marteler une rhumba sacrificielle quasi hardcore mais complétement enjouée. Ce potpourri illustre les paradoxes multidirectionnels incontrôlés de nos sociétés, cette course effrénée qui mènera l'humanité on ne sait où, et prône un retour vers la nature garante de notre bonheur.
Vers les Everglades ("ever glad": toujours heureux).
Rhùn, après l'exposition de cette folie de plus de onze minutes, où l'humour baigne parfois dans une noirceur de plomb, termine le morceau sur une note certes pessimiste, mais lente. Le groupe veut ici se montrer poseur de temps... Après le désastre en cours, et cette fuite qui nous mènera dans les Everglades, nous méditerons sur ce qui nous reste, heureux d'être encore en vie, espérons-le..

The new live EP by Ryan W. Stevenson's project reminded me, that this debut album must have been gone down the wishlist... If instrumental Canterbury stuff is your thing, this should be a no-brainer. Firmly rooted in the past (late 60s, 70s), nevertheless with a fresh sound. Guests incude The Tangent's Andy Tillison and Soft Machine's Theo Travis. Carsten Pieper
